I’m Tihana Klepač, an Associate Professor at the University of Zagreb’s Department of English (Filozofski fakultet), with over 20 years of experience in academia. While my professional background is steeped in English literature, my heart has always belonged to something closer to home—Croatian heritage.

My journey to creating the Croatian Quadrant has been shaped by exploration into how adults learn languages most effectively. Along the way, I discovered that true language mastery isn’t just about memorizing rules and words—it’s about transformation. It's about creating an emotional connection to the language and culture so that they become part of who you are.

I grew up immersed in Croatia’s rich cultural traditions. From reading beloved Croatian literature to dancing the Istrian balun and playing our folk melodies on the piano, my roots have always been deeply tied to this heritage. These experiences taught me firsthand how much culture enriches learning—and how essential it is for true fluency.

The Croatian Quadrant embodies this philosophy. It’s not just a language course; it’s a structured, step-by-step journey designed to help you not only speak Croatian but live it.
